What is the customer retention report?

Overview of the Customer Retention Report

A customer retention report analyzes how well a business retains its customers over time. This report helps businesses understand customer loyalty, identify customer behavior patterns, and determine the effectiveness of retention strategies.

The report provides insights into customer retention and lifetime value trends over a series of months. It shows retention percentages, lifetime value growth, and trends that indicate customer behavior and opportunities to enhance loyalty.

Where can I find the Customer Retention Report?

This report can be found on the left-hand Panel on the YUMBI Reports page, under the Customers tab, named “Retention & LTV”(Figure 1), or by following this LINK to the report itself.

How can you filter the report?

There are three primary ways of filtering the Customer Retention Report. These three options are by Brand, Restaurant, and Channels. Note that this report requires a Brand to be selected to populate data.

Which channels can I filter by?

All channels

This filter option will present the Customer Retention percentage on the App, Website, Call center, on iOS and Android mobile devices.

All Online

This filter option will present the Customer Retention percentage on the App, Website, and on iOS and Android mobile devices only.

All Mobile

This filter option will present the Customer Retention percentage on the App on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Call Centre

This filter option will only present the Customer Retention percentage over the phone, which are captured on the YUMBI Ordering Platform at the Call Centre by an Agent.

iOS

This filter option will only present the Customer Retention percentage from iPhone Operating System devices i.e. iPhone mobile devices.

Android


This filter option will only present the Customer Retention percentage from Android Operating System devices i.e. Samsung, Huawei mobile devices.

What do the graphs represent?

The Customer Retention % graph (left):




This graph displays a drop from Month 0 to Month 1, which then stabilizes at a lower level, representing a core group of returning customers.

The Customer Lifetime Value graph (right):



This graph shows steady growth, indicating that retained customers contribute to ongoing revenue.



The table provides monthly retention rates, helping you analyze engagement patterns per order date. This data reflects the importance of retention strategies to boost long-term value, particularly in the first month.

The Grid Information can be exported for data analysis and provides additional categories of information using the CSV Option.
