What is OrderUp?

OrderUp is a web-based application that allows stores to accept customer orders. It can be accessed via any device including, laptops, smartphones, or tablets. We recommend that stores use a tablet at the front counter for easier accessibility and convenience. It is important to note that OrderUp operates independently of the restaurant's existing POS system. YUMBI developed OrderUp as an alternative to the traditional YUMBI GSM printers.

Watch this short video on OrderUp and how you can access it.

How do I access OrderUp?

When a store expresses interest in using OrderUp, they will be assigned a user role for the platform, and can then access it directly through the YUMBI Dashboard. This integration does not impact the ordering process from the consumer's perspective; the key difference lies in how the store receives, accepts, and manages orders.

With OrderUp integrated into the YUMBI Dashboard, stores can effortlessly manage and optimize their operations, providing a centralized and streamlined approach to store management.

Step 1

Log on to your store’s YUMBI Dashboard as per the normal process found here,

Step 2

After logging in, select the 'Orders' tab, where the OrderUp option will appear, as shown in Figure 1

Figure 1

Follow these steps to enable OrderUp

Step 1

Select "OrderUp" (see Figure 1)

Step 2

An enable pop-up notification will appear, proceed to select “Enable” (see Figure 2)

If the enable button is not selected, OrderUp will stay offline, and orders will not be processed.

OrderUp Statuses

Section A

When OrderUp has been enabled the status will change to “Online - Accepting Orders” meaning that orders will be processed through OrderUp, as shown in “A” in Figure 3.

The store can use the disable button at their discretion to temporarily stop online orders through OrderUp. (See Figure 3. A)

Let us have a look at the below image in more detail.

Figure 3

Section B

Under the "New Orders" tab, incoming orders will be displayed. The store can choose to Accept, Accept with delay or Decline each order. To preview the contents of the order before making a decision, use the view on the far right, as shown in Figure 4.

Figure 4

Section C

New order details will be displayed in this section (see Figure 3.C), providing key information such as customer details, order number, order placement time, collection or delivery type, items with their prices, selected payment option, and the total order amount, as shown in Figure 4.

Section D

All orders accepted by the store but not yet captured in the store's POS system will appear under this section. Once an order has been captured, the store can confirm this by selecting the “Captured on POS“ option. (See Figure 5)

Figure 5

Section E

This section displays orders that have been captured but are still awaiting completion. Once the order is ready for collection or delivery, the store will confirm it at this stage. The customer will then be notified that their order is "Ready for Collection" or "Out for Delivery." (see Figure 6). Once the customer’s order has been marked as complete, real-time updates will be sent via the app (or SMS if push notifications are disabled) for app users, and via email for web users.

Figure 6

Section F

This section displays orders that have been marked as complete. The list of completed orders will only show those captured on the current day (see Figure 7).

Figure 7

How do I view the Order History?

To view previous orders that have been placed through to the store, navigate to Order History. These orders can be filtered by date, customer name, mobile/landline number, order method, or order status (whether successful or failed). (See Figure 8)
