Steps to place an order for delivery on Switchboard
Step 1: Locate the Customer Details
To initiate an order, an Agent must first access the customer's details they intend to serve. The Agent must either search for an existing customer by the customer's contact or name in the search bar (see red arrows on Figure 1) or create a new customer (see green arrow on Figure 1).

Once the customer number has been inserted and the search has been completed, their information will populate.

If it’s a new customer, the agent will have to manually capture their details

Step 2: Select the Ordering option
Once the customer record has been selected, and the agent has been presented with the Customer Details Page, they will need to select the "Delivery" radio button (See Figure 4).

Step 3: Select the Delivery Address
If the customer has ordered with the call center before, their address will automatically populate. However, should they want to have their order delivered at a different address, the agent can click on “edit address” and insert the updated address.

If the customer has never ordered with the call center before, the agent will have to select “Add Address” and populate with the address details provided by the customer.

Once the agent has confirmed the address with the customer, the system will show that it’s a valid address and agent can “save”.
Step 4: Select the "New Order" Button
Once the address has been saved, the system will look for the nearby stores that are currently open, allowing the agent to choose the closest store to the customers address.

The agent will proceed to select the day, as well as the time the order will be delivered.

Step 4.1: The "Re-Order" Button
Should the customer be an existing customer, their previous orders will be populated below their information, and should they wish repeat an order they have placed before, the agent can “view“ the order and select “reorder”.
