Setting up a custom delivery zone for your restaurant couldn't be simpler! You just need a computer, an internet connection, and a free Google account to get started.
Once your Google account has been configured, you can proceed with setting up your Polygon.
YUMBI will send you an invitation to edit your restaurants map via email.
Open the email and click “Open” to access your restaurant's map. Remember that you will need to be logged in to your Google account in order to do this.
Google Maps Engine is a tool used to create customised maps by drawing shapes onto an interactive map of the area around your restaurant. Move around the map by clicking and dragging across the screen. You can zoom in and out of the map using your mouse wheel, or by using the controls in the lower-right corner of the screen.
To create a polygon shape, click on the draw a line tool in the toolbar (located just below the Google search bar). Click on Add a line or shape. NOTE: Once selected, the mouse pointer changes from the hand tool to a small plus sign (+).
Click on the road you would like to start at, then move your mouse outlining your delivery zone area. Click to leave a marker at every change of direction and proceed dragging the mouse until you have reached your starting point, closing off the polygon shape.
When the shape is closed off, a dialog box appears where you can type in the name of the respective delivery zone for example: Red Zone R10.00. We ask that you name your zones using a colour and the amount charged for that delivery area. Hit enter to save. If you would like to edit the name of the polygon later, you can do so by clicking the small pencil icon.
To change the colour of your polygon, click on the the polygon you wish to change in the menu on the left. A paint bucket will appear. Click on the paint bucket and select a colour.
To resize a polygon, double click it, and then grab and drag the marker dots as required.
When your polygon is complete it will be automatically be in the Google Maps Engine.
A screenshot of your polygon will need to be sent to your Franchise Manager for approval.
Once approval is received, please notify the YUMBI Support Team when you are done and we will then set up the polygons you have drawn in the YUMBI back-end.

NOTE: Due to YUMBI's commercial obligations with various restaurant brands, specific delivery zones and fees may be mandatory, or not permitted altogether. Where either of these restrictions apply, prior consent will need to be provided by the brand head-office or by another suitably authorized representative before any configuration or changes can be performed.
