How do I Identify Delivery Order Hotspots?

The Heat Map report allows the user to view “Hot Spot” areas for online delivery orders. This report can be found under the Deliveries panel on the YUMBI reports page or by following this link: Delivery Order Heatmap

The primary way of filtering this report is through “Weighting“. Weighting shows the distribution of orders on the heat map depending on what has been filtered.

These filter options are as follows:

  • Transaction Count
  • Order Value
  • New Customers

Once a Weighting type and restaurant have been selected, the report will populate the map.

The Heat Map report displays “Hot Spot” areas using a colour scale to differentiate the orders being filtered. The colour scale ranges from green to red representing the two ends of the spectrum.

Red Areas represent concentrated zones with higher amounts of data that have more “Weight” compared to other areas. Green Areas represent lower concentrated zones and have less “weight” in the overall data. Yellow Areas are the medium/average zones within the heat map. (See Figure 1)
