Why does my store show as offline on the YUMBI platform?

A store can be shown as offline due to a few reasons:

  • The YUMBI GSM Printer is not online
  • The Point of Sale is not online
  • The store is disabled using the online availability feature toggle (on YUMBI Dashboard).

How can I see whether my store is offline?

YUMBI Reports can provide you with insight regarding any of these channels. To view this report, click HERE

NOTE: This URL will only work for SA. The report can be found on YUMBI Reports for other countries as well

Online Status: Online or Offline. This will show as offline if both the YUMBI GSM Printer and YUMBI-integrated Point of Sale are offline and/or when the store has been disabled using the online availability feature toggle.

Printer status: Online or Offline. If no printer has been configured for the store, it will always show as offline.

POS status: Online or Offline. If no YUMBI-integrated Point of Sale has been configured, this will always show as offline.

What is the impact of my store being offline?

We have a report available that provides you with the uptime per store, estimated lost orders and the estimated value of lost orders. You can have a look at it HERE.

Trading Hours Uptime %: This is defined as the percentage of the configured trading hours during which at least one channel was able to receive orders and the store has been enabled using YUMBI Dashboard.

Estimated Missed Orders: This is an estimate of the orders that the store would have received (based on the average number of orders received per hour per day over the last 6 months).

Estimated Missed Revenue: Estimated Missed Orders * Average basket value (based on the average basket size of orders received per hour per day over the last 6 months)

Order estimations are calculated for individual stores, based on the history for that store for that hour of the day, that day of the week. Adjustments are also made for the week after payday, to account for higher order volume. YUMBI is not liable for any orders that a store might lose due to the store being offline.

How can I improve the uptime of my store?

  1. Resolve any issues with the YUMBI-GSM printer: HERE is the link for further information
  2. Point of Sale: Please reach out to your Point of Sale provider.
  3. Confirm that the store is not disabled using the online availability feature toggle (on YUMBI Dashboard).
