What are message parts?

Message Parts Definition

An SMS allows users to send text messages up to 160 characters in length directly to a customer’s cellphone. This is one (1.0) message part.

Should the length of the message exceed 160 characters, this automatically pushes the message parts to two parts (2.0). This may mean that the additional message parts are billed separately.
