How to Use the Sales Dashboard

How to Use the Sales Dashboard

What is the Sales Dashboard?

The Sales Dashboard is your one-stop view of how a brand or store group is performing on YUMBI or other integrated channels like 3rd party aggregators. It brings together data that used to live across three separate reports (Monthly Orders, Order Summary, and Order Details) into a single screen, so you can quickly answer:

  • How much revenue and how many orders came through in a given period?
  • Is that better or worse than a comparable period?
  • Where is that volume coming from (stores, channels, platforms, payment methods, days/hours)?
  • What does the order-by-order detail look like for a single store?

            Figure 1

Getting started: the filter bar

At the top of the dashboard you'll find the filters that control everything below:

FilterWhat it does
Date RangeThe main period you're analyzing. Defaults to the last 30 full days.
Compare ToTick this to compare your selected period against a prior one (see below).
SourceNarrow to a single order source (YUMBI, UberEats, Mr D, Yango). Defaults to all.
BrandMulti-select filter by brand. Defaults to all.
PlatformApp, Phone, or Website. Defaults to all.
Order TypeFilter by fulfilment type: Collect (In-Store), Delivery, Dine-In, To-Go, Kerbside. Defaults to all orders, and applies to every number on the page.
RestaurantMulti-select store filter (depends on Brand selected). Narrowing to exactly one store switches the grid at the bottom into a detailed drill-down (see "Looking at a single store" below).

Figure 2

Comparing periods

Tick the Compare To box to view the comparison options:

Compare against

Choose a preset (Previous period, Previous period matched by day of week, Previous year, Previous year matched by day of week) or select Custom to pick your own comparison window.

Comparison Range

The actual dates being compared against; this fills in automatically based on your chosen preset, or you can set it manually.

Like-for-like

When ticked, the comparison only includes stores that were trading in both periods. This is useful if you've opened or closed stores recently and want an apples-to-apples comparison rather than having new/closed stores skew the numbers. (Not available when viewing hourly data, since it only makes sense across day/week/month views.)

When comparison mode is on, you'll see a banner showing both date ranges, and the KPI tiles, Sales Breakdown, and Orders & Revenue chart will all show a "vs previous" comparison.

Figure 3

KPI tiles

Total Orders

Number of successful orders in the selected period.

Total Revenue

Net sales, including VAT.

Average Spend

Net revenue divided by successful orders.

Active Restaurants

Distinct stores that transacted at least once.

Acceptance Rate

Successful orders as a percentage of all orders received (the change shown is in percentage points, not a percentage change)

Figure 4

Sales Breakdown and the Orders & Revenue chart

Below the KPI tiles are two side-by-side panels:

Sales Breakdown

Displays a running summary of your sales figures for the selected date range. The breakdown provides an overview of your revenue by category, allowing you to quickly understand how your total sales are calculated and how discounts impact your overall revenue.

It includes the following metrics:

Product Sales

Total value of all menu items sold.

Delivery Fees

Total delivery charges paid by customers.

Driver Tips

Total tips paid to delivery drivers.

Gross Sales

Total of Product Sales, Delivery Fees, and Driver Tips before discounts.

Discounts

Total discounts applied to orders, shown as a negative value.

Net Sales

Gross Sales after discounts have been deducted.

Orders & Revenue chart

An interactive line chart that displays order volume or revenue trends over the selected date range. This chart helps you identify sales patterns, peak trading periods, and changes in performance over time.

Metric

Choose whether to display Revenue or Orders.

Granularity

View the data by Hour, Day, Week, or Month. The system automatically selects the most appropriate granularity based on your chosen date range, but you can manually change it at any time to view the data at a different level of detail.

When comparing periods, a dashed line overlays the chart to show the equivalent period side by side.

Each of these tiles has an expand icon to view it full-size with a legend and tooltips. See the green arrow in Figure 5.

Looking at a single store

When you filter down to exactly one restaurant (either by using the Restaurant filter or by clicking the store name displayed in the Store Performance grid), the grid changes and provides further order-detailed views for that store:

Summary By Date

This section gives a high-level view of orders placed over a specific time period. This is useful for identifying patterns or trends in order volume and revenue on a daily basis.

Figure 7

Each row represents a different date and includes the following information:

The specific calendar date and day of the week the orders were placed.

Orders

The number of orders placed on that day.

The total after discounts, excluding prepaid payments.

Prepaid

The portion of the order amount that was prepaid by customers.

Outstanding

Common questions

Q: How do I compare this month to last month?

Tick Compare To, set "Compare against" to Previous Period, and make sure your Date Range covers the current month.

Q: Why don't my numbers match last month exactly when I toggle Like-for-like?

Like-for-like excludes stores that weren't trading in both periods, so if you opened or closed a store recently, the totals will differ from the standard (non-like-for-like) view — this is intentional, to give you an apples-to-apples comparison.

Q: Can I see data for a specific delivery zone?

Yes, filter to a single restaurant, then check the Summary By Delivery Zone table (only available for stores with zone-labelled deliveries).

Q: Can I export this data?

Yes, every grid on the page (Store Performance, and each of the Order Details tables) has Copy and CSV export buttons.
